Manufacturing Engineer Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team, focusing on the decommissioning of equipment. This role involves taking photographs of equipment, completing necessary forms, and following established processes for decommissioning. The ideal candidate will also prepare clear, complete, and accurate working plans/instructions and detailed drawings from rough or detailed sketches, design layouts, notes, or redlined blueprints. Key Responsibilities: • Equipment Decommissioning: - Take detailed photographs of equipment slated for decommissioning. - Complete and submit all required forms and documentation. - Follow established decommissioning processes and protocols. • Documentation and Planning: - Prepare clear, complete, and accurate working plans/instructions and detailed drawings from rough or detailed sketches, design layouts, notes, or redlined blueprints. - Formulate complex sampling procedures and design special or ad hoc forms and work instructions. • Manufacturing Systems Development: - Design, develop, test, and evaluate new manufacturing systems for industrial production processes. - Focus on human work factors, material flow, cost analysis, and process optimization. - Ensure manufacturing operations meet product safety, reliability, and performance goals. • Project Management: - Plan, schedule, and perform moderately complex engineering projects. - Evaluate, select, and adapt or modify standard manufacturing techniques, procedures, and criteria to increase the efficiency of plant operations. • Process Improvement: - Develop manufacturing methods to promote efficient staff and facility utilization. - Study operations sequence, material flow, and project information to determine worker functions and responsibilities. - Specify, document, procure, qualify, implement, and improve fixtures, hand tools, and manufacturing equipment. - Develop workplace and process flow. • Quality Assurance: - Incorporate critical feature inspection and test checkpoints into processes. - Ensure the maintenance of labor and equipment capacity models. • Communication and Reporting: - Apply verbal and written communication skills in periodic and special reports and presentations for work in progress and completed designs. - Perform analytical problem-solving and utilize structured decision-making skills. • Collaboration: - Participate in new product development teams and/or cross-functional teams. Skills Requirements + Mechanical or Industrial Engineering BS Degree + Documentation + Mechanically inclined + Must have hands on experience in manufacturing environment or working with manufacturing equipment. Internship is OK. Job Type This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s). 100% on site in Palm Beach Gardens.
