Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description

• Evaluate production processes and make recommendations for improvements• Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and other data to provide management with reports containing data and statistics for better understanding of future manufacturing requirements• Ensure compliance of manufacturing processes with all equipment requirements and limitations• Review and calculate labor, material, and other production costs, and assist management in decision-making by reviewing schedules and future production requirements• Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services, ensuring manufacturer's procedures and instructions are followed to keep production equipment operational• Eliminate waste in the manufacturing process and apply innovative systems to improve company workflows• Optimize production programs for labor balance and stocking needs• Provide flexible program offerings across multiple machines• Ensure traceability and repeatability through programs and ERP communications• Troubleshoot program challenges and reduce product inconsistencies• Develop fixtures for program applications• Manage fixture assets and instructions for successful and efficient fixture selection and use• Problem solve and communicate effectively with the work team• Contribute ideas for continuous improvement of workflow and processes

Hard SkillsWelding or Robotic Welding experience (creating tooling & fixtures for manual and robotic welding along with cell setup)Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing (improving current processes and implementing new ones)Stainless steel & metal fabrication experience (MIG/TIG welding, cutting, bending, polishing, etc.)Capital projects: Involvement with procurement and installationSoft SkillsEffective problem-solvingStrong communicationTeam collaborationJob Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Beloit, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

• Team Composition: 3 Manufacturing Engineers (soon to be 5), 3 Design Engineers (soon to be 5), and 3 Quality Engineers (soon to be 5)• New Facility: Occupancy planned for August 2024 with full operational production starting January 1st, 2025. The new facility is 100,000 sq ft. Efforts will be made to transition equipment, people, and processes seamlessly to avoid disrupting throughput.• Team Dynamics: The design group is generally quiet but friendly, while the Manufacturing Engineer group is outgoing and integrates well with both office and shop employees. They balance hands-on work with professional meeting appearances.
