Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description: Manufacturing Engineer + Review work orders and pull available prints, standard work, and specifications to determine required components and design requirements. + Generate routings and standard work for company product utilizing lean principles and a quality mindset. + Serve as a lead manufacturing engineer for the fabrication area by providing proper documentation, training, and communication of product/process-related information to line supervision and shop personnel. + Perform time studies to facilitate process improvements. + Suggest and collaborate with Design Engineering to make improvements in the design of products or systems to reduce cost, improve quality, and manufacturability of parts and assemblies. + Utilize lean principles to implement changes as a leader, participant, and initiator. + Lead process improvement projects in a production environment. + Investigate and make recommendations on the procurement of equipment to improve the manufacturing process and/or assembly of company products. + Process Engineering Change Notices in a timely manner, communicate those changes to the appropriate shop personnel, and update standard work as required. + Improve safety in manufacturing by analyzing current and proposed manufacturing processes to reduce material handling, improve ergonomics, or identify safety improvement opportunities. + Develop and maintain standard work for assigned areas and processes. + Process action items, non-conforming material, and Corrective Action Requests in a timely manner. + Provide assistance to Marketing by supplying labor and material costs for special equipment when needed.
