Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

The Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production workflows, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BoM), developing routing, and utilizing ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) to drive operational excellence.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods.Create and maintain accurate BoMs for all products and assemblies, ensuring clear documentation and revision control.Design and maintain detailed routing for manufacturing processes, ensuring the best production practices for efficiency and quality.Utilize NetSuite or similar ERP systems for manufacturing process planning, scheduling, inventory management, and cost control.Continuously analyze production workflows and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure quality.Work closely with design, quality, and production teams to ensure alignment on product specifications, material needs, and manufacturing methods.Generate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and process sheets.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) in manufacturing and provide regular reports to management for decision-making.Ensure all processes comply with applicable safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.Essential SkillsProficiency with NetSuite or other ERP systems.Strong understanding of Bills of Materials and routing processes in a manufacturing environment.Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to implement effective solutions.Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).Excellent communication and project management skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in a mechanical or industrial environment.Mechanically inclined with knowledge of measurements, pounds, and conversions.Proficiency with Microsoft Products (Outlook, Teams, Excel).Work Environment

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. As job duties demand, evening and weekend work may be required.
