We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial and have a minimum of 3+ years of engineering experience in an ISO certified manufacturing environment. This role requires advanced knowledge of mechanical fabrication processes, including sheet metal fabrication, finishing principles, welding, die casting, turning, stamping, and cabling assemblies. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for solving complex manufacturing and quality issues, performing root cause analysis, and creating corrective action plans. The role involves supporting drives manufacturing, maintaining product lines, launching new products, and troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
ResponsibilitiesSolve complex manufacturing and quality issues.Perform and analyze root causes of failures and create corrective action plans.Support drives manufacturing by maintaining product lines and launching new products.Troubleshoot manufacturing issues.Convert CAD files and understand specification drawings.Fix work instructions and update Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).Troubleshoot issues on the floor related to product quality or assembly issues.Create Bills of Materials for new products.Draft work instructions and assembly build instructions.Address and troubleshoot errors in assembly.Manage projects and implement capacity improvements.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial.Minimum of 3+ years of engineering experience in an ISO certified manufacturing environment.Advanced knowledge of mechanical fabrication processes.Experience with tools such as 8D, 5-why analysis, and corrective actions.Ability to create jigs and fixtures.Proficiency in CAD drawing conversions and understanding specification drawings.Additional Skills & QualificationsMetal fabrication knowledge.Project management experience.Problem-solving skills.Hands-on teaching and coaching experience.Experience working with production teams.Work Environment
The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with a team including 2 Quality Engineers, 1 Industrial Engineer (with plans to hire one more), and 6 Production Support staff. The role involves fixing work instructions, updating Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and troubleshooting product quality or assembly issues. Additionally, the engineer will handle new product introductions, including creating Bills of Materials, drafting work instructions, and performing CAD drawing conversions using Creo. About 25-30% of the role will involve addressing product quality issues and part investigations, managing projects, and implementing capacity improvements.
