Manufacturing Engineer
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in manufacturing processes and compliance, and have experience working in a production environment with special processes such as brazing, assembly, welding, chemfilm, and painting. The role requires reviewing military specifications and managing corrective actions for rejected parts. A degree in a relevant discipline is preferred, but not required. Responsibilities + Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant manufacturing standards. + Work within a manufacturing/production environment to oversee special processes such as brazing, assembly, welding, chemfilm, and painting. + Review and interpret military specifications to ensure product compliance. + Manage corrective actions for rejected parts. + Implement process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives. + Utilize project management skills to oversee manufacturing projects from inception to completion. + Develop and maintain work instructions and quality management documentation. Essential Skills + Expertise in manufacturing engineering and process improvement. + Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies. + Proficiency in project management and tooling. + Skilled in machining, work instruction development, quality inspection, and quality management. + Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards. + Knowledge of Six Sigma, process engineering, and root cause analysis. + Experience with manufacturing processes and Unigraphics/NX software. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). + A degree in a relevant discipline is preferred but not required. + U.S. Citizenship is required. Work Environment The role is based on-site at our ITAR facility in Hampstead, MD. The work environment includes a machine shop setting with two 90,000 sq. ft. parts manufacturing plants.
