We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing requests for quotes (RFQ) and preparing detailed estimate sheets, including time standards, material specifications, outside vendor services, associated costs, tooling, and any notes or exceptions to the RFQ. This role involves maintaining and developing inside sales relationships with customers to maximize sales potential through proactive quote follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
Review RFQs and prepare detailed estimate sheets.Maintain and develop inside sales relationships with customers.Prepare all necessary information required to run any job, including master files, blueprints, and specifying material.Use Lean manufacturing techniques to improve processes.Develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing methods.Revise methods based on new equipment and process changes.Recommend improvements for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency.Create work orders and develop accurate lead time and shipping schedules.Handle order entry and maintenance of customer record files.Calculate materials for new orders and review material certifications.Perform related duties within the Engineering/Purchasing Department.Essential Skills:
Experience with machining, including lathe and mills.Knowledge of CNC machines.Experience with SolidWorks.Experience with AutoCAD.2+ years in a manufacturing environment.Understanding of the manufacturing process and engineering.Experience with purchasing (desired)Why Join Us?
