Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer in Machining department. Design new products, provide engineering support for existing products, develop components for application to new or existing products, and reduce costs for existing designs conducted independently and as part of a team environment. In this role, you will support existing production products and technical assignments that support larger projects. You will select techniques to solve problems and make sound process and programming recommendations using vertical (Fanuc, Fadal, Robodrills, etc.) and horizontal machines (Makino, etc.) and lathes (Okuma, etc.) to assess results to meet the established design standard and meet customer specifications. Develop and apply automation technology systems (Fanuc, Epson, etc.), vision systems, and laser QR etching. Develop and support quality inspections (Keyence, Marposs, Hexagon, etc.).

ResponsibilitiesSupport existing production products and technical assignments that support larger projects.Select techniques to solve problems and make sound process and programming recommendations.Use vertical and horizontal machines and lathes to assess results to meet established design standards and customer specifications.Develop and apply automation technology systems, vision systems, and laser QR etching.Develop and support quality inspections.Essential SkillsMinimum bachelor degree or technical school degree in engineering related discipline.Minimum 2 years work experience in a manufacturing setting.Ability to read and write G and M code along with a solid understanding of GD&T.Experience with Autodesk CAD/CAM software with NX CAM a plus.CNC programming and CMM programming.Quality experience - gauge selection and gauge planning experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with pneumatics/hydraulics.CAD skills: 2D & 3D.Manufacturing engineering, quality improvement, industrial manufacturing experience.Self-motivated with a mindset to find answers independently.Driven and eager for new challenges and knowledge.Work Environment

The new engineer will be assigned to a product support team and will assist CNC setup operators. Responsibilities include processing ECNs, cost control, cycle time reductions, and task reductions. The team includes 6 Engineers, 1 Engineering Technician, and 1 Process Technician, all led by an Engineering Team Leader. The work environment is collaborative, with everyone on the team being part of the process support for new product development and capability studies.
