Launch new vehicle and powertrain programs in North America assembly plants. Responsible for the overall program management and delivery of new vehicle programs. Activities include but are not limited to; Issue Resolution, Quality/Status Assessments, Fleet (Vehicle) Management and Budgets/Timing. Managing the Launch Teams transition to the plant. Managing Pre-Production Build Events. Managing the ordering, building, testing, and disposition of vehicles. Managing the Pre-Production Drive Fleet Evaluation Plan. Managing Product Development change approvals ahead of prototype builds. Gatekeeper for New Model Programs. Leading the build issues management process for the cross-functional program team. Co-Chairing meetings and driving part support issues to resolution for each pre-production build. Champion Management Presentations. Preparing and presenting New Model Program weekly assessment reports. Managing launch budget approval and executing elements controlled by New Model Programs within the launch budget.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Allen Park, Michigan.

Work Environment

Position will be based out of the NMPDC but will be supporting Assembly plants throughout North America. This position involves long-term travel (up to 9-12 months at a time) to support assembly plants during program launches. Typical travel dynamic is you're traveling for a week at a time as needed to kick off launch activities. Leave on Monday come back Thursday night/Friday morning. As launch progresses, they would be expected to be there up to 11-13 days at a time to support new tooling implementation. Should never be gone more than 2 weeks at a time. Manager does not like having people away from home that long.
