Summary:
The Reliability Engineer will be expected to oversee the equipment and reliability initiatives and improvements that support the assigned business unit. This position will also direct development and execution of process improvement related to the assigned business unit and outline requirements for resources management, materials, and time required to complete projects. This role has a responsibility for ensuring both food safety and quality of Chobani product.
Responsibilities
Design methods for maintaining or increasing process efficiencies in both processing and packaging departments while improving production costs, yields, quality and safety.
Prepare conceptual engineering designs and floor plans for process equipment.
Troubleshoot process problems and identify solutions which reduce downtime and conserve costs.
Coordinate process control with corporate engineering.
Determine the layout of piping, equipment and utilities for engineering changes.
Research engineering topics, prepare studies and conduct trials with productions (participation is a must).
Assist with transitioning capital projects to the production plant team.
Need to be open minded and willing to adapt to modern technologies and processes.
Develop & Maintain documentation in support of process changes (Process Description, Scope, Process Drawings, etc).
Solicit and critique proposed process changes, submittals and designs.
Review pertinent agency regulations; advise operations, maintenance and project managers accordingly.
Maintain documentation library (drawings, manuals, standards, etc.).
Perform other exciting opportunities as assigned.
Work with design group to modify plans as appropriate if problems arise Prepare monthly reports, detailing progress and costs for top management

Requirements:
Experience in dairy or food industry manufacturing with deep process knowledge is preferred
Experience with cultured dairy products is a preferred
3-5 years as an equipment/reliability engineer ina manufacturing setting required
BS/BA in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Science, Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration or related field
Working knowledge of/ experience with HACCP, food safety and related compliance regulations
Must have an understanding of PLC and logic controls for high speed operating equipment
Highly effective leader who can create a shared vision, energize others, challenge the status quo and drive change.
Serve as back up in the absence of Process Engineer.
Compensation Range: $74,400.00 - $111,600.00, plus bonus.
