Job DescriptionDesign, develop, characterize, optimize, and validate manufacturing equipment and production lines for battery systems.Uses CAD to design tooling and fixtures for machining, fabrication, assembly, rework, and work simplification.Coordinates problem troubleshooting of factory equipment in conjunction with Industrial Engineering technicians, machine suppliers and other entities as needed.Support capital expenditure justification analysis and project budget tracking.Creates and maintains factory shop floor layouts to optimize the use of floor space, materials, personnel, and equipment.Support project management for capital equipment acquisition, prepare cost estimates, timelines, and budgets for proposed improvement initiatives and planned lines.Performs process workflow, takt time, and ergonomic analysis on assembly processes.Creates, revises, and maintains standardized work instructions for production processes.Possesses a basic working knowledge of CNC programming and machine tooling.Performs cost reductions as required, especially related to process, tooling, and fixture improvement.Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kanban, and Kaizen.Promotes safety awareness and provides safe work environmentMust comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures while reporting all unsafe activities and concerns to the Director of Operations or Human Resources Manager.Performs any additional related duties as assignedAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.AutoCAD or Solidworks experience.One year of experience either professional or internship.Work Environment1-2 step interview process. Can start by the second week of January.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00
