Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in manufacturing processes and compliance, and have experience working in a production environment with special processes such as brazing, assembly, welding, chemfilm, and painting. The role requires reviewing military specifications and managing corrective actions for rejected parts. A degree in a relevant discipline is preferred, but not required.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant manufacturing standards.Work within a manufacturing/production environment to oversee special processes such as brazing, assembly, welding, chemfilm, and painting.Review and interpret military specifications to ensure product compliance.Manage corrective actions for rejected parts.Implement process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.Utilize project management skills to oversee manufacturing projects from inception to completion.Develop and maintain work instructions and quality management documentation.Essential SkillsExpertise in manufacturing engineering and process improvement.Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies.Proficiency in project management and tooling.Skilled in machining, work instruction development, quality inspection, and quality management.Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.Knowledge of Six Sigma, process engineering, and root cause analysis.Experience with manufacturing processes and Unigraphics/NX software.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).A degree in a relevant discipline is preferred but not required.U.S. Citizenship is required.Work Environment

The role is based on-site at our ITAR facility in Hampstead, MD. The work environment includes a machine shop setting with two 90,000 sq. ft. parts manufacturing plants. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $52.89
