Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to drive the precision and efficiency of our shaft machining operations. This role will involve supporting manufacturing operations, developing and optimizing CNC programs, ensuring quality standards are met, and leading continuous improvement projects.

This will be a 1st shift opportunity working Monday-Friday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm.

Responsibilities include:

CNC Programming: Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Esprit Edge

Machine Support: Provide hands-on floor support and troubleshooting for machinists, addressing machine/process issues to ensure smooth production.

VOC: Acts as the voice of the customer and Manufacturing Engineering during daily accountability meetings

Standard Work Development: Develop and document standard operating procedures, work instructions, and machining standards.

Continuous Improvement: Lead and participate in CIP projects to optimize manufacturing processes and part production.

Process Optimization: Detect and implement opportunities for process improvements to increase production efficiency and product quality.

Quality Documentation: Develop and implement quality procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements.

Customer Certification Management: Manage quality certificates, compile customer documentation packages, and ensure accurate retrieval and editing from SAP.

Gaging and Calibration: Procure, qualify, and maintain gaging equipment; manage calibration schedules and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

Non-Conforming Parts Management: Oversee the identification, segregation, and disposition of non-conforming parts; issue quality notifications (QNs) and work with suppliers to resolve recurring quality issues.

Requirements:

Experience with multi-axis mill/turn CNC equipmentExperience in CNC programming with Esprit Edge (or similar CAM software)Hands-on experience in machining operations, automation systems maintenance, and tooling applicationsQA/QC experienceFamiliarity with ERP systems and functions (SAP S/4HANA preferred)Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering major) and 5+ years of related experience

Preferred Skills:
