Manufacturing Engineer
Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description Our client is a global leading supplier of magnet wire with 16 global facilities and over 2,300 employees. They predominantly support the automotive, energy, industrial, and commercial and residential industries. With over 120 years of experience in the magnet wire industry, they have continually expanded their innovations into new applications and industries. Due to the growth of the EV (electric vehicle) market, they have expanded their Johnson County, Indiana facility by 60,000 square feet. We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical factory support, troubleshooting, process improvement, and developing new processes and equipment to enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities + Lead small process improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency. + Provide effective troubleshooting and support for manufacturing processes. + Assist in the development and implementation of new process and equipment projects. + Demonstrate a thorough understanding of magnet wire manufacturing and process control. + Compile standardized documents and perform training on them. + Coordinate and perform trials in compliance with JCP and customer standards. + Design and execute trials to qualify and evaluate equipment per JCP and customer standards. + Maintain process sheets and customer-specific reports. + Support plant improvement teams and events. Essential Skills + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline. + 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting, including troubleshooting processes and responding to manufacturing needs. + Experience in tooling/fixture design and design for manufacturing. + Strong communication skills and self-sufficiency, with the ability to work independently after receiving direction. + 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in wire and cable manufacturing. + Experience leading/managing a manufacturing engineering team. Work Environment This Manufacturing Engineer will be supporting the Franklin, IN site. This role is 100% onsite with zero opportunity for remote work. The environment is climate-controlled and industrial. This will be a 1st shift, Monday - Friday role with minimal overtime (40-45 hours a week). Expect a consistent schedule of 8 AM - 4 PM.
