Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

This Melt Engineer will work within the Casting Area overseeing the melt process, finding ways to implement process improvements and increase efficiency. You will oversee a team of 4-5 engineers and technicians within the melt area, working with high induction furnaces. You will also oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of such equipment. This role is evenly split between desk work and floor work.

ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.Investigate equipment failures and difficulties, diagnose issues, and make recommendations to the maintenance crew.Essential Skills2+ years of engineering experience with a mechanical aptitude and engineering mindset.Experience in continuous improvements/process improvement projects.Proficiency in AutoCAD or other 3D CAD software.Project management experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Additional Skills & QualificationsElectrical knowledge.Casting knowledge.Engineering Degree.Work Environment

This is a first shift, Monday-Friday position. Weekend work is rare and typically only required during shutdown periods. You will report to the Sr. Manager of Casting and split your time 50-50 between desk work and floor work. You will work closely with four other team members. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.61 - $36.05
