Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing new and revised product/process activities and supporting production operations by troubleshooting and resolving machine and process issues. You will collect and interpret engineering data, investigate new technologies, and apply Lean Manufacturing philosophies to improve processes. Responsibilities + Implement new and revised product/process activities. + Support production operations by troubleshooting and resolving machine and process problems, including chip control, machine crash recovery, stability, capability, short stoppages, and recurring machine operation issues. + Collect and interpret engineering data such as machine cycle time, motion analysis, capacity planning, tooling design, ergonomics, process layout, and cost reduction. + Investigate and introduce new technologies into the business. + Resolve problems systematically using appropriate problem-solving tools and techniques such as 5-Why, 8-D, D.O.E., capability studies, etc. + Apply Lean Manufacturing philosophies including value stream maps, standardized work, JIT, PDCA, 5S, SPC, etc. + Work with vendors to determine product specifications, support the purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards. + Lead investigations and make recommendations for cost reduction activities related to man, machine, methods, and materials. The work environment is a manufacturing setting for ATVs and automotive parts with a large machine shop feel. Your main customers will be Honda, Toyota, and Suzuki. You will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required on the floor. The environment can be hot and dirty, and there are 145 people on staff. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $39.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
