You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for our Precision Fires GMLRS program in Camden, AR. Our team is responsible for designing and improving manufacturing processes to make production more reliable, efficient, and cost-effective.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide day-to-day engineering support to the production shop floor, planning and improving manufacturing procedures and operations. You will also capture current workflows and information flows, integrating digital tools to improve productivity and reduce waste. Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing engineering support to production shop floor
• Planning and improving manufacturing procedures and operations
• Capturing current workflows and integrating digital tools to improve productivity
• Assisting in the implementation of new processes and equipment selection
• Resolving design, manufacturing, and building sequence issues
• Participating in the adoption of new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and quality
• Designing manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts
• Analyzing 3D product designs and creating digital blueprints

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience/combine education.
- Experience in a Manufacturing setting.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools and machines.
- Knowledgeable of Assembly Manufacturing Processes
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite.
- Proficient in the use of 3D CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA or equivalent)
Desired Skills:
- Promoting safety practices on the shop floor and eliminating safety risk
- Troubleshooting production issues using failure mode effects and analysis (FMEA), root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions (RC/CA)
- Implementing continuous improvement projects using 6S and Lean manufacturing techniques
- Customer service skills to communicate to the shop floor and train operators
- Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions and Bill of Materials (BoM)
- Interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications including Geometric and Dimensional Tolerances (GD&T)
- Incorporating configuration changes on existing procedures and verifying alignment with engineering requirements
- Designing new tools and maintaining existing tooling/equipment
- Project management experience in writing a business case, developing estimates, reporting schedule, and coordinating task between multiple functions.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
