Job Summary + Working knowledge of NC Machines, lasers, CAD, Tool Design and MBD + Communicate with shop personnel to assist with proper tool usage and manufacturing procedures with special focus on 5-axis laser scriber + Develop up-front manufacturing plans, conceptual tool designs, and cost estimating + Define and implement solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency + Develop reports, presentations, RCCA’s and rework instructions + Provide a strong technical interface with customers and vendors + Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area + Performs other duties as assigned including leading projects and participation in project committees Required Skills and Qualifications + Team leader + Working knowledge of 5-axis NC machines and set-ups + Critical thinking skills and good decision-making thought processes + Proficient in all Microsoft and Outlook programs; highly proficient in Microsoft excel + Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills including the ability to articulate complex ideas in a simple manner. + Ability to effectively communicate among all levels within the organization Required Experience and Education + Bachelor’s degree in in Engineering or Technical Degree + Minimum 2 years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment This is a generic job posting for a Manufacturing Engineer.
