Experience:

 

At least 3 years of work experience related to the industry, preferably. Specialist in CNC, machining processes, Programming in CNC / EDM. At least 5 years of experience in CNC machining processes.

 

Education:

 

Professional career as Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical, or any other related to the field.

 

Knowledge:

 

AUTOCAD computer design knowledge. MS Office computing packages. English preferably. GD&T and engineering drawing standards. Interpretation and Reading of Engineering Drawings. Knowledge of lean manufacturing systems.

 

Authority: Design and implementation of manufacturing systems.

To stop the operation of machines when not working safely.

Essential functions:

 

Helps in the development of manufacturing methods, as well as in the maintenance and updating of plant layout, machinery inventory and operating instructions. Helps in establishing, justification and designation of the production facilities for new processes and / or products.

 

 

Specific Responsibilities:

 

Maintains manufacturing specifications and procedures. Continuous improvement of tools and manufacturing methods. Helps in reducing established standard times. Development of Flowcharts and process FMEA. Manufacturing cells Time studies. Works with production teams to escalate problems and flaws in manufacturing processes.  Support in determining root cause of persistent problems. Supports the justification for installation of new products and processes. Supports placing new facilities "online". Maintains Oracle system files. Helps ensure that quality and department standards are maintained and preserved. Assumes other activities and responsibilities from time to time as necessary. Develops standard work instructions according to ABS practices. Works closely with product design engineering and quality engineering to establish manufacturing compliance according to engineering, quality and customer specifications. Works safely promoting health and well-being of people and the environment. Complies with all EHS rules and regulations and with supervisor’s instructions. Reports all incidents to supervisor including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and injury-free accidents. Promote the use and use of ABS tools established in their work areas (Autonomous Maintenance, TPM, SMED, Visual Factory, Order, and other tools). Contribute to Continuous Improvement through the suggestion and / or implementation of improvements in your area. Comply with the quality policy by complying with daily activities that directly or indirectly impact the provision of the product or service.
