Manufacturing Engineer Job Number: 355194 Category: Manufacturing Engineering Description: Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC Zip Code: 28269 Start Date: Right Away Job Type: Contract Pay Rate: $50.22 / hr Schedule: 1st shift; 8am-5pm Keywords: #ManufacturingEngineer #EngineeringJobs JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Lead the development of new product from the manufacturing engineering perspective * Driving design for manufacture throughout the development process * Developing cutting edge manufacturing processes * Identifying equipment and executing capital plans to meet new program * Communicating program status to various levels of the company * Applying fundamental knowledge of Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials engineering * Developing, evaluating, improving and documenting manufacturing processes that improve manufacturability and eliminate process inefficiencies. * Collaborating with configuration control and design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effectual production methods. * Conferring with vendors in determining product specifications and arranging equipment, parts, or material purchase, and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications. * Working closely with production to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees. * Designing and developing manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost. * Trouble shooting and resolving technical problems. * Proactively eliminate EHS hazards and ensure that work areas are safe at all times. * Leads Kaizen teams * Understanding of lean principles and systems thinking is needed to effectively lead the projects and process improvement initiatives. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree * 5-10 years in manufacturing engineering/design/NPI or related field * Demonstrated technical skills in manufacturing engineering * Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly * Proactive and results-driven; thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment * Design of experiments and data analysis technique knowledge * Proficient with Microsoft; Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word * Excellent analytical and communication skills * Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with diverse audiences including cross-functional team members, senior leaders, global suppliers, and external customers including service managers and technicians. * Experience working in a team environment * Organized with strong attention to detail Benefits: * Medical / Health Benefits with multiple plan options, Flexible Spending Accounts, Dental and Vision / glasses / prescription contact lens and eye test options available. * On the job training / cross-training to develop and expand skills, creating opportunity for advancement and personal development.
