Job Description
We're looking for an outstanding manufacturing engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This person will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs and related analysis specifically for flight-critical avionics systems. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production-level designs.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop 3D and 2D mechanical designs for flight-critical avionics systems.Conduct related analysis for mechanical designs.Integrate, test, and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems.Utilize Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools such as Solidworks or NX/Unigraphics.Implement process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.Employ lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies.Write technical documentation including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and test plans.Support both development and production programs.Handle and track systems for continuous material flow to manufacturing lines.Conduct functional and environmental testing, including QTP/ATP, thermal, acoustic, and vibration testing.Essential Skills4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or equivalent.1+ year experience with integrating, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic systems.1+ year experience with CAD tools such as Solidworks or NX/Unigraphics.Additional Skills & QualificationsBS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.Related experience from internships or college organizations.Technical writing experience, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and test plans.Experience with various automated manufacturing processes, including assembly and test methods at the component, subsystem, and system levels.Familiarity with QTP/ATP, functional testing, and environmental testing such as thermal, acoustic, or vibration.Formal training/certification in Operational Excellence Systems (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.) is a plus.Strong organizational, analytical, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Work Environment
This position is onsite in Redmond and involves working on building a satellite constellation.

The pay range for this position is $66.70 - $66.70/hr.
