Manufacturing Engineer

Summary:
Design and develop part-specific fixturing and processes to support efficient and effective manufacturing workflow, including machining, welding, and assembly for various new projects.

Job Responsibilities:

Design and develop fixturing and processes for 3, 4, and 5-axis machining, welding, and assembly. Develop and document user instructions and design intent for future use. Provide technical support to Manufacturing Planning and CNC Programming teams. Design fixturing and processes to promote Standard Work and Quick-Change concepts (S.M.E.D). Support production in designated resource groups and communicate status with Customer Account Managers and operations teams. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives for existing products. Work with the quality department to optimize inspection processes for customer compliance. Collaborate with departments to resolve production issues. Evaluate engineering changes and other specifications. Write technical reports and documentation for development work, processes, and capital investments. Contribute to the development of automation strategies. Provide input on manufacturing methods and producibility for estimating. Ensure fixture and process designs align with financial objectives. Maintain compliance with aerospace quality standards such as AS-9100. Maintain a safe and clean working environment following 6S standards.

Requirements:

Associate's Degree, Trade or Technical School, or equivalent experience. Experience in manufacturing engineering (10+ years preferred). Aerospace manufacturing experience with an emphasis on assembly operations (5+ years preferred). Experience with Siemens NX CAD (5+ years preferred). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Working knowledge of GD&T. Mechanical and technical problem-solving abilities. Understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).

Pay Details: $42.00 to $57.00 per hour
