Your role and responsibilitiesWe are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Electrification business. The selected candidate will optimize the production organization’s winding & assembly methods, processes and equipment in order to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs and safety. The Manufacturing Engineer's duties includes development and application of various processes and utilization of specialized equipment to efficiently accomplish such objectives as fabrication, production, modification or repair of company products.This is an on-site position based in Pinetops, NC. This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in the United States.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tIdentifying and recommending improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.•\tApproving the design for processes developed internally or externally and performing final tests with respect to the project.•\tProviding support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.•\tEvaluating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.
Qualifications for the roleBachelor’s Degree in Engineering required. Preferably Industrial, Mechanical, or Electromechanical.5+ years of experience in manufacturing Experience in leading cross functional teams in international and multicultural work environment.Good knowledge of SolidWorks and Autocad.Knowledge on PowerBI and programming is a plus.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
