Position SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer evaluates, selects, and applies Manufacturing Engineering techniques to develop economical and efficient methods to produce piece parts and/or assemblies. You will provide necessary input to develop cost, prepare manufacturing specifications for various operations/workstations. You will also develop effective standard procedures and processes to assure that the product complies with specifications of quality, safety, and delivery. The Manufacturing Engineer recommends and implements design changes to improve quality, safety, delivery, and cost.
This role requires onsite work 5 days per week at our Sharon Hill, PA office. Working Hours for this role are Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm.
What You'll do as a Manufacturing Engineer Review and process product documentation pertaining to engineering drawings including initial release and subsequent revisions. Review products for the purpose of increasing quality, delivery, safety and reducing manufacturing cost through value analysis, material substitution, process changes, etc. Recommend rearrangement of plant facilities. Develop clear and concise manufacturing specifications/instructions to maintain quality and to assure smooth workflow through the factory. Provide floor support during the manufacturing cycle, verify standards, and update manufacturing specifications. Assist with review and implementation of factory test equipment. Develop workmanship standards to accommodate manufacturing/inspection and assure conformance to specifications. Develop manufacturing costs. Assure manufacturing facilities, tooling and test equipment are available to meet production requirements. Perform manufacturing studies leading to recommendations for new and improved methods, procedures and equipment utilization. Review and evaluate plant capacity and capabilities; recommend action to optimize burden absorption. Evaluate and process defective material. Do problem solving analysis to improve the quality, delivery, safety and cost. Validate processes as needed. The Experience, Skills, and Abilities NeededRequired
Bachelor's Degree. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering. Demonstrate proficiency in Lean Six Sigma Principles. This includes knowledge of both Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, which focuses on reducing waste and improving process quality, respectively. Demonstrated technical knowledge related to area of responsibility. Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and decision making skills.

Works independently under general guidelines and supervision. Computer literacy to include word processing, spreadsheet and software capabilities with Microsoft Office. Ability to research and form data / information into clear reports, charts, or other correspondence. Adapts easily to changing duties and responsibilities seeking areas for improvement within scope of job.
