Well versed in welding automation and the technologies available in the market. **Responsibilities** + Developing the welding automation processes and finding opportunities for implementing new technologies + Providing guidance to manufacturing engineers and operators in order to develop high quality products and processes as it relates to welding automation + Creating and managing capital projects making sure they are on time and in budget **Top Candidate Will Have:** + Extensive Project management experience + Hands on welding experience + Robotic programming experience + CWI certificate + Engineering degree preferred **What Skills You Will Have:** **Problem Solving:** • Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives. • Examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder. • Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information. • Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution. • Uses fact-finding techniques and diagnostic tools to identify problems. **Project Management:** • Identifies project management tools and requirements within own function. • Describes the key objectives, phases and deliverables of a current project. • Explains the concepts of phase, activity, task, and deliverable. • Gives examples of critical paths in projects. **Manufacturing Process Design and Development:** • Cites examples of successful design or development of manufacturing processes. • Lists essential steps in designing a manufacturing process. • Records and documents any data related to manufacturing processes. • Understands the purpose of process design in manufacturing. **Capacity Planning & Management - MFG:** • Documents major considerations of product promotions and analyzes their effect on production and required capacity. • Provides management reports on actual and projected capacity requirements. • Uses available tools to interpret forecasts and work out required capacity. • Participates in developing short-term capacity requirements for a specific product or plant. • Collects and collates key elements of demand chain used in developing capacity requirements. **Lean Manufacturing:** • Discusses considerations for work cell design and effectiveness monitoring. • Finds solution for key technical and people problems associated with transformation to lean. • Explains issues and considerations of implementing lean in own function or area. • Selects and utilizes tools, techniques and measurements associated with a lean assessment. • Explains benchmarks and measures of effectiveness of lean. **Additional Information:** The primary location for this position is Decatur, IL Domestic relocation assistance is available This position may require 25% travel Visa sponsorship is **not** available **Summary Pay Range:** $108,360.00 - $162,480.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
