Donaldson is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this engineering role, you will participate and/or lead the creative process to discover and develop new manufacturing processes which will be utilized to safely, efficiently and effectively deliver our products to market.
Role Responsibilities:
Become a subject matter expert with the proprietary nano-tech process.
Support capital projects for timely and on budget completion.
Initiate engineering change orders per existing procedure.
Setup and manage trials for new/modified products.
Improve process standardization.
Evaluate and improve tooling.
Participate in safety reviews and implement safety improvements.
Evaluate and implement cost savings projects.
Evaluate and introduce process and product improvements.
Improve product quality, output and cost effectiveness.
Improve equipment uptime, throughput and quality.
Implement corrective actions and reduce scrap cost.
Review and revise work instructions.
Recommend preventive maintenance and component replacements.
Review and verify accuracy of existing procedures, bills of material, and route sheets.
As a member of a cross-functional team, troubleshoot manufacturing and quality problems, determining root cause and effective corrective actions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
One or more years of manufacturing engineering experience
Experience with 3D solid modeling, experience with Solidworks
Experience in PLC and motion control programming, equipment design, and equipment modifications
Ability to apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve the manufacturing processes
