As the **Manufacturing Engineer II** , you will: + Participate in / Lead projects related to the transfer or development of service / manufacturing for small capital medical devices. + Design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. + Design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. + Develop/diagnose electrical testing equipment and test software. + May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. + Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigate and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. + Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. + Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations governing the manufacture/service of medical devices. + Develop/review validation documentation related to the implementation of manufacturing and service processes. + Perform / Coordinate performance of validation and qualification activities with attention to detail and ensuring compliance with Good Documentation Practices. + Work closely with cross functional teams across the globe to develop/transfer processes from one facility to another. **Must Have: Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2+ years of experience, or Advanced degree with 0+ years of experience **Nice to Have** + 2-5 years of work experience in a regulated industry + Project management experience – Small to medium projects + Test method validation experience + Experience troubleshooting Electronics/Software in testing systems. + Experience in Process and Equipment qualification/validation + Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Biomedical Engineering + Experience with CAPA/quality systems + Experience with six sigma and root cause analysis + Experience with CFR 820 + Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize deliverables based upon project criticality. + Experience with a design control systems like Windchill/Agile. **TECHNICAL SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM:** An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering R&D, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies – from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills. **DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS** **Autonomy:** Established and productive individual contributor. Contacts others to share information, status, needs and issues in order to inform, gain input, and support decision-making. **Leadership and Talent Management:** May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and / or employee in Support Career Stream. **Required Knowledge and Experience:** Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
