**Job Description** BAE Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join its organization to support production in a team-based manufacturing environment. Responsibilities: + Resolve manufacturing related issues on the ACV Weld Line. + Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. + Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process engineering. + Interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. + Applies basic knowledge of the design of organization's products and technology to solve moderately complex and clearly defined engineering problems. + Selects the best method or process from among several existing alternatives. + Develops and writes technical documentation, makes revisions to existing documentation, and provides input to technical papers or presentations. + Delivers technical presentations. + Performs technical analysis, testing, calculations, and evaluation of results to solve moderately complex engineering problems using specialized equipment and/or by computer programs. + Analyzes and interprets design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and/or test results to ensure technical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, military specifications, and product requirements. + Provides input to project leaders for the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets. + Applies basic lean/six sigma principals to drive improvements to production processes. + Interacts with employees located at multiple facilities across the country **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + High School Diploma with 4 years of experience in welding/auto mechanics OR equivalent education/experience + Hands-on floor support experience, working with shop employees + Mechanical or manufacturing background experience + Understanding of root cause/corrective action- preventive action + Experience with industrial paint coatings + Understanding of welding practices + Lean manufacturing experience **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Experience with spray paint processes of military or commercial vehicles and equipment + SSPC (The Society for Protective Coatings) certification + Corrosion/corrosion mitigation training or experience + Commercial blast room equipment and bead blasting of military or commercial vehicles experience + Gage and equipment calibration and control ISO 9001-2008 knowledge **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $70735 - $120250 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
