Provide Operations Engineering support to the Circuit Card Assembly Factory located in Andover, MA.  Primary responsibilities will be to support the Operation of Wave Solder, Selective Solder, Router and Mechanical Assembly lines.  This includes automated and programable equipment, for multiple products and programs.  Additional responsibilities include process improvement, cycle time reduction, defect prevention and operator support. Individual will be required to participate in process improvement initiatives, establishment of process base line metrics, Defect prevention, and process data analysis.
 

What You Will Do

Creating and overseeing projects using risk management techniques

Translating engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation

Computer and machine programming for manufacturing automation

Dispositioning of discrepant hardware

Leading root cause and corrective action investigations to solve problems and prevent recurrence

Participate in process improvement and cost reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodology

Manufacturing process development and support

Conducting safety / ergonomic assessments

Interaction with senior personnel on technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and / or suppliers.

Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics and reductions in cost and/or defects.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of2 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

Knowledge and experience with ANSI J-STD-001 Class 3

Experience in applying Lean Manufacturing principals.

Experience with supporting circuit card assembly production floor, (process and/or quality focus).

Specialized Tooling Development (Jigs, Fixtures, Specialized Packaging Development)

Masking Development

Experience supporting the following equipment:

Wave Solder

Selective Solder

PWB Routers

Knowledge and ability to apply Six Sigma principles and techniques.

Experience in DFMA principles

Strong organization skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Self-motivated and results oriented.

Innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technology.

Detail oriented with strong coordination skills.

Ability to work in a team setting as well as individually.

Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.

Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines.

Adaptability to varying work assignments.

Experience with automated equipment and programming

Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Teams, Excel, PPT, Project, Word)

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
