Volt is immediately hiring for a Manufacturing Engineer - Gear Machining in Waterloo, IA.
\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
As a Manufacturing Engineer - Gear Machining, you will:
\r\n\r\n• Recommend and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas.
\r\n\r\n• Establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans, and labor standards for revisions to current operations.
\r\n\r\n• Lead selection and procurement of metal removal machines; plan and implement machining cells.
\r\n\r\n• Lead new model preparations and procure tooling, gauges, new machines, and more for an efficient production process.
\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Required Skills:
\r\n\r\n• Ability to proficiently use algebra, geometry, and trigonometry..
\r\n\r\n• Three or more years of experience as a manufacturing engineer in a component manufacturing environment related to turning, milling, and drilling.
\r\n\r\n• Experience with the selection and procurement of capital equipment.
\r\n\r\n• Experience with machine programming related to gear and spline cutting processes.
\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Desired Skills:
\r\n\r\n• Knowledge of gear and shaft manufacturing tools and technology.
\r\n\r\n• Proficiency in interpreting part prints and GD&T designations.
\r\n\r\n• Experience in a steel manufacturing environment.
\r\n\r\n• Experience with AutoCAD or related software.
\r\n\r\n• Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or other data analysis tools.
\r\n\r\n• Experience with SAP.
\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Education:
\r\n\r\n• Bachelor's degree in Ag Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, related technical degree, or equivalent working experience.
\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Shift: Monday – Friday – 1st Shift
\r\n\r\nDuration: 12+ Months
\r\n\r\nLocation: Waterloo, IA 50703
\r\n\r\nWork Schedule: Onsite
\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Pay rate: $38/hr. to $42/hr.
\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
