This role is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing is carried out (and the end product is produced) in the most time-efficient and cost-effective way while still maintaining overall product quality. Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer 3 Location: Winsted, MN Salary Range: $88,000 – $110,000 per year (In compliance with Minnesota Pay Transparency Law, this range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Shift Schedule: 1st shift Monday – Friday Business Hours Shift Differential: 1st shift – N/A As a Manufacturing Engineer 3, you will: + Respond to production problems and escalations where repeat failures or large business impacts are occurring + Maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods and workforce utilization in multiple areas + Determine the parts, equipment, and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications utilizing advanced technical abilities + Work on projects with significant complexity. + Senior Level Project leader impacting multiple teams. Advanced planning required for task sequencing. + Provide direction to operators, leads and supervisors in response to problems and escalations + Perform advanced engineering calculations + Identify areas of Continuous Improvement (CI) work + Provide direction to Manufacturing level 1 and 2 engineers on technical or project management support + May do equipment proof of concepts and coordinate installations Role Qualifications as a Manufacturing Engineer 3: + Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5+ years of experience OR equivalent combination of education and 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting. + Knows and applies advanced concepts and techniques of a manufacturing engineer + Knows and applies advanced DMAIC problem solving methodology and Lean concepts. + Knows and applies tools to perform Root Cause Corrective Action analysis. + Computer literate; particularly in word processing, spreadsheet, email + Proficient knowledge in interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings + Read and interpret customer specifications and industry standards + Writes internal manufacturing routings + Ability to solve practical problems and make decisions + Effective and appropriate verbal and written communication skills, in English Why Millerbernd and Who We Are: We strive to create the best opportunities for our employees.
