ITW’s revenues totalled US$12.6 billion in 2020, with nearly 43,000 employees worldwide. **Manufacturing Engineer Intern** **– Summer 20** **2** **5** **Work** **Location:** **Carol Stream, IL** **Internship Overview** **:** We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our team for the summer of 2025. The position holder will work directly with our Production and Operations teams and he/she will be involved in tool-box projects that are tailored to the qualified candidate’s specific skills and field of study. This role will collaborate daily with the Loma Systems management and professionals from various departments. This internship is approximately 40 hours per week for 8-12 weeks, with flexible start and end dates within the range of May-September 2025. **Responsibilities:** + Develop high level knowledge on all related processes and resources;identifying and executing on continuous improvement initiatives (80’s line and sub-assembly, inventory management and supply chain improvements) + Demonstrate visible continuous improvement through effective application of ITW best practices (e.g. in-lining, 80/20, Front-to-back) + Identify and execute on continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact and improve fixed and variable costs + Coordinate and execute on programs tooptimize, maintain, monitor, and report on Quality systems and processes (e.g. QICAT, ZVA, ISO9001:2015) + Perform time studies on new 80’s products as well as 20’s to re-establish standards + Final test process review and work instruction creation + Metal Detector conveyorwork instructions update and Checkweigher work instructions creation **Requirements:** + Rising college senior pursuing a Bachelor level degree program in Engineering (Industrial preferred, Mechanical/Manufacturing/Quality also accepted) + Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above + Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular) + Quick learner – i.e. ability to learn new software and understand directions + Reliable/dependable – shows up to work on time and is committed to timely completion of assignments + Proficient with MS Office Products (Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel) **Compensation Information:** $25.00 per hour - 29.80 per hour
