 Responsibilities:

 

Technical support position responsible for the execution of various manufacturing engineering functions including manufacturing process development as well as general manufacturing support, troubleshooting and team participation. Ability to execute technical skills and training such as CNC programming utilizing CAD / CAM software, plant layouts utilizing CAD and SketchUp software. Must be able to lead and execute small teams and projects. Provide good organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to train others. Implement and provide project management support of new processes including equipment specification, procurement, coordination of installation, process capability, training, process documentation and production startup. Procure new equipment utilizing the Capital Appropriation Request procedures. Work with tooling suppliers to review existing operations to improve quality and cost profiles. Support Crown Challenge continuous improvement program. Assist the Global MTC’s with CAD / CAM training, process improvements, etc… Coordinate flow and scheduling of work through the Prototype Department.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

16+ years related experience. High School graduate or equivalent Must have valid driving privileges. Frequent travel (6-20%) Frequent overnight stays (6-20%)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Proven technical abilities and training such as CNC CAM programming and CAD layout experience. Must demonstrate good communication skills amongst shop floor, support staff, and plant leadership. Must be able to lead and execute small teams and projects. Requires good organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to train others. Experience in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies including Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Events and RKE’s.
