Manufacturing Engineer - Service

As part of the Service Solutions Team, you will have primary responsibility for ongoing support of service centers within the U.S. as well as support plans for product expansion outside of the U.S. You will perform support functions and activities related to the development of new processes, review and update of current process including current and emerging technologies within the service organization, process cost evaluation, quality issues, and process mapping and review.

As a Process Engineer - Service you will work under the guidance and in support of Senior and Staff Service Engineers.

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

· Work with Service Center operations to drive process and quality improvements by effectively using Process Excellence tools to improve operations and resolve complex process issues.

· Work with RD, Manufacturing, and Suppliers during product development to ensure delivery of process and procedures that yields a cost-efficient service operation.

· Assist in developing solving guides, training instructions, manuals, and other required documentation to support the service and repair of equipment.

· Supporting hardware and software design changes, change order processing and other required documentation throughout the product lifecycle.

· Process mapping, analysis, review, and identification of areas to be improved.

· Coordinate activities with internal external customers including setting meetings, reporting on action items, and following up with collaborators to which have input into the required process and procedures.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED SKILLS

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Biomedical, or similar technical degree is required, preferably in the area of mechanical, electrical or biomedical engineering

· A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience which should include experience applying basic technical principles to a broad range of assignments.

· Experience writing formal technical process and procedures.

· Ability to plan, conduct, record and serve as project administrator under the guidance of senior members of the Depuy Synthes Service Care team.

· Ability to be based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL

· Ability to support up to 20% travel domestically.

PREFERRED SKILLS

· Understanding of new product introduction and capital equipment

· At least 3 years of experience working within a regulated industry.

· Experience in service, RD, manufacturing, or quality

· Experience in the medical device industry

· Experience solving technical manufacturing issues.

OTHER:

· This position may require up to 20% of travel both internationally and domestically.

· The role has a primary location in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Fully on site.
