What You Will Be Doing
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you may support the Assembly and/or Fabrication areas depending on the project or assignment. Your duties will include:

• Interfacing with design, manufacturing, test, quality, and other internal/external stakeholders as the product(s) move from planning to release, completion, and distribution
• Using SAP, dPLM, and other applications & tools to analyze and develop sequence of operations, work-instructions, procedures, and production record systems including inspection and test
• Assisting in the identification, procurement, and implementation of equipment, machinery, tools/fixtures, and material handling systems
• Establishing methods for maximum utilization of the production facilities and personnel utilizing lean six sigma concepts to improve work-flow efficiencies throughout production and the facility
• Using 2D/3D modeling tools to assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of manufacturing cells & layouts throughout the facility
• Using business process applications and tools to analyze data to improve productivity including reducing cost, improving inventory accuracy and improving first pass quality to achieve on-time schedules
• Investigating issues, gathering data, and initiating corrective actions and then presenting solutions to teams and leaders within the organization
• Assisting in establishing hazard prevention measures including personnel training programs for all phases of production operations including safety and ergonomics
• Control Account Management duties when defined by the program you support including budgetary monitoring, variance analysis, and estimate-to-completion forecasting based on program performance

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Eng, Manufacturing Eng, Mechanical Eng, Electrical Eng, or other Engineering related discipline from an accredited college, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
Desired Skills:
Previous work experience performing Manufacturing and/or Industrial Engineering tasks at a proficient level.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

Exceptional written and oral communication/interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment or independently to solve problems in a timely manner.

Ability to read & interpret drawing requirements to develop work instructions.

Demonstrated use of lean/six-sigma manufacturing method & root cause/corrective action techniques.

Demonstrated ability to track and manage cost, quality, and schedule in a manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and set up production work cells and facility layout changes.

Ability to define problems, collect/analyze data and make the necessary improvements to achieve desired performance.

Electro-mechanical, cable & harness assembly/fabrication experience as well as CCA production experience including IPC-610, IPC-620, and J-STD-001.

Ability to use MRP/ERP production systems to create/change work instructions, shop floor routers, and bills of materials.

Ability to use simulation modeling software to analyze and improve production process flow.

Demonstrated use of 2D and 3D modeling programs such as Auto-CAD and CREO to design tooling/fixturing.

Ability to learn and program a variety of production support equipment.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
