Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op (Fall 2025)

About The Program: 

During the Fall term, you will be placed as a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op at an Owens Corning manufacturing plant for approximately 12 weeks. You will be mentored by seasoned technical specialists and provided value added projects throughout this period. Projects will give you hands-on experience with the technical issues that you'll face in the production environment, and they will cover the following topics: 

 

Safety leadership  Process and product improvement  Productivity increases  Waste elimination  Total Productive Maintenance 

 

In addition, you will develop the following competencies essential to being an effective manufacturing engineer: 

 

Troubleshoot and problem solve processes Leverage analytics & data-based decision making Enhance leadership capabilities and lead teams Effectively communicate and elevate performance of self and others Strengthen technical expertise Understand customer-driven focus
 

At the conclusion of the co-op, participants may be offered an additional internship/co-op or full-time employment in one of Owens Corning's Operation Leadership Development Programs, following graduation.

While expressing a desire to develop both technical and leadership capabilities, in a manufacturing environment, to further their career and have a long-term impact on Owens Corning.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or relevant STEM major and or field  Previous relevant internships/co-ops in a manufacturing setting Demonstrated leadership in professional, service, or social organizations Willingness and flexibility to relocate
 

LOCATION OF ASSIGNMENT 

Participants are based at various manufacturing sites in the US.
