Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2025 Manufacturing Engineer Intern. In this role, you will be responsible for Process Design, Work Instruction Planning, and Aircraft Installation Support of machining and quick change assembly planning, evaluating designs for producibility, developing tooling and manufacturing plans for components, assemblies and installations. Interface with Design Engineering, Operations, Quality, Programs, Product Safety and the supply base in an effort to resolve issues relating to production installation of harness and component assemblies. During the design phase the candidate’s work be exposed to generating work instructions and
ordering tooling to execute fabrication or
procurement of details, assemblies and
installations. At the Program level candidate will
potentially work with the design engineers
during basic and detail design phases to assure
design is producible and can be fabricated to meet cost and schedule targets. The successful candidate will have basic understanding of manufacturing processes. Must be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Computer Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college
- Proficient with CAD software: CATIA, SolidWorks,
- Knowledge of Manufacturing/Machining
- Knowledge in Inventor, SketchUp
- Computer programming languages
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be a US citizen
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity in machining processes (turning, milling and grinding,
- Planning of large assemblies
- Familiarity with GD&T requirements

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
