**Description:**
You will be the functional Manufacturing Engineering Manager for the Lufkin facility\. Our team is responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting manufacturing processes for high\-reliability, military\-grade electro\-mechanical assemblies\.
**What You Will Be Doing**
As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of over 40 technical professionals, driving affordability projects and culture, and overseeing technical issue resolution, assembler training, and capital equipment selection\. Your responsibilities will include:
•Capital equipment selection and new technology assessments
•Staffing, talent development, and employee performance management
•Overhead budget management and driving affordability projects
•Assist in developing new and follow\-on contract proposal including Non\-Recurring Engineering estimates and determining manufacturing complexity and producibility
•Frequently interface with Senior Site Level leadership and Production Engineering leaders across multiple sites

MUST BE A U\.S\. CITIZEN \- This position is located at a facility that requires special access\. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance\.
**Basic Qualifications:**
\- Ability to obtain a secret clearance\.
\- Candidate must have proven Leadership qualities with significant manufacturing and assembly experience\.
\- Previous technical leadership experience\.
\- Excellent written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills with ability to work with multiple levels of executives and first\-line management, industry peers, internal and external customers\.
\- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings, schematics and specs to lead team conducting drawing reviews, approvals and producibility reviews\.
\- Experience developing technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity\.
\- B\.S\. or M\.S\. in a technical field\.
**Desired Skills:**
\- Experienced with military specification requirements used in electronic manufacturing\.
\- Experienced in engineering configuration management processes as it relates to manufacturing process\.
\- Experience presenting to senior government and/or company leaders\.
\- Lean Manufacturing experience and/or Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certifications\.
\- Knowledge of/experience with proposal process and Bases of Estimates \(BOEs\)\.
**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
