About the position:

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead their functional area of responsibility. In this role, you will provide daily supervision of administrative and technical issues involving a functional group of engineers and engineering support personnel. Collaboratively develops the vision and strategy to improve the process under their responsibility. This supervisory position provides work direction concerning cost, quality, safety, environmental and schedule of engineering work or projects within manufacturing engineering.  As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager you will work closely with Production, Quality, Product Engineering and the New Product Introduction (NPI) groups to ensure new and current products are developed and produced properly. As such, this person will have great analytical ability, people, organizational and collaboration skills, and attention to detail.

In this position you will:

Develop the core competencies and ensure the discipline and execution of standardized processes. Investigate latest technology trends and processes to improve processes safety, quality and productivity. Perform administrative duties related to performance management, salary pay plan, succession planning, training and development of direct reports to maintain core competencies and build new capabilities in personnel. Maintain core expectations for personnel and identify current skills and plans to increase skills in core competencies while providing support, training, counsel and career development advice to engineers to ensure their ongoing job satisfaction and professional development. Coordinate the manufacturing engineering team for planning and installation of new products, processes and manufacturing projects when applicable.

 

About you:

Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering. 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience. Advanced knowledge (with applied experience throughout their career) of: DFMA, Line Design, VSM, Resources Calculation, GD&T, Line Balancing, Lean Manufacturing. Experience in planning, organizing, and implementing engineering projects. Self-starter that is results-orientated with the ability to manage vision and purpose. In-depth tactical and strategic leadership skills that drive continuous improvement. Experience managing projects with multiple dependencies. Strong interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills. Excellent teamwork skills with ability to influence cross-functional teams. Understanding and applied experience of the NPI process.

 

It would be great if you had:

Experience with supply management and materials management in optimizing material flow from supplier to point of use. Experience in performing complex engineering assignments. Experience in implementing high visibility enterprise projects.

 

About the total compensation package:

 

Salary - $95,900 - $123,800 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.

Relocation – This position may qualify for relocation.
