If the answer is yes, we invite you to consider joining us in boldly challenging what’s possible for a sustainable world.  The Manufacturing Engineering Technician position will support manufacturing engineering and operations teams through the creation, implementation and maintenance of standard work while directly supporting production, quality, and NPD initiatives. **Where is the work:** This position has been designated as **onsite** in **Noblesville, IN** . **What you will do:** + Promotes Helmer values as demonstrated in personal productivity and quality of work, management of internal/external relationships, actively seeking out and participating in Continuous Improvement practices, and willingness to engage and support team initiatives. + Comply with workplace safety procedures. + Lead the development, implementation, training, and maintenance of standard work for new and existing products as well as other process documentation as required• Manage small scale manufacturing and operations projects including capital equipment purchase/implementation, process improvement projects, and other cross-functional projects as assigned + Support/lead mfg engineering initiatives by assisting in work cell/line design, performing time studies, capacity calculations, VSM maintenance, and identification/implementation of process improvements + Manage rapid prototype lab activities through design, build, implementation and documentation of jigs/fixtures, templates, and part conveyance/storage improvements, etc. + Support production escalation program for existing and new product introduction by troubleshooting process, material, safety, and/or equipment issues as assigned + Support the plan development and execution of process and equipment validation + Maintain daily production quality data through data entry, analysis, and reporting + Assist EH&S program through incident investigations and corrective action implementation as assigned + Assist Maintenance and facilities with building upgrades/repairs as needed **What you will bring:** + 3-5 years of relevant work experience within manufacturing and/or engineering required + High School Degree or equivalent required + Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering related field(s) a plus + Fork and lift truck certification (or ability to obtain) required + Additive manufacturing design and application experience preferred + CNC and Welding experience preferred + Understanding of mechanical systems in a semi and fully automated industrial application + Excellent verbal communication skills in dealing with all levels of organization. + Knowledge of operations, processes, equipment, and products preferred but not required + Understanding of Lean Principles and Six Sigma application and usage. + Experience with root cause analysis and process improvement projects **Computer Systems / Software:** + Familiar with (or strong desire to learn and master) Microsoft Office applications. + Autodesk CAD/Inventor experience required. **Key Competencies:** + Demonstrated ability to execute simultaneous complex projects + Ability to promote collaboration and teamwork inside/outside the department to reach common goals; open to and solicits diverse views and opinions from others; breaks down barriers to builds consensus + Ability to secure relevant information in identifying key issues and cause-effect relationships; utilize brainstorming and other methodologies to identify innovative solutions to meet business needs + Ability to understand and appropriately apply procedures, requirements, regulations and policies related to specialized expertise + Fosters an environment of trust and open communication from senior leadership to entry level operators. + Ability to promote collaboration and teamwork inside/outside the department to reach common goals; open to and solicits diverse views and opinions from others; breaks down barriers to build consensus. + Ability to actively partner with team members to provide them with pertinent information, techniques, instruction, feedback and encouragement to maximize their success on the job. + Strong communication skills directed towards training operations staff and actively participating in process conceptualization discussion, as well as justifying ideas with other organization functions **Compensation:** Base Pay Range: $65,000 - $85,000 _Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages.
