Manufacturing Equipment Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our Manufacturing Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining automated filling lines, ensuring their efficient and effective operation. Knowledge of PLC and robotic programming is a plus.  This position is early first shift support, Tuesday though Saturday. 

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on automated filling lines and related equipment.Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues with automated systems to minimize downtime.Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and automation systems.Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure optimal performance of automated filling lines.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and service reportsConduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance guidelines for automated equipment.Provide training and support to production staff on the proper use and maintenance of automated systems.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications1+ years work experience as a technician.Knowledge and skills required to complete specialized tasks.Proven critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Strong communication and organization skills. Proven technical aptitude.Experience repairing and replacing parts on various lab equipment and production equipment.Understanding of preventive maintenance activities.Working knowledge of MS Office systems: Word, Excel, Outlook.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with filling systems, labeling systems, torque systems, and/or plasma treaters.Lean manufacturing or similar continuous improvement program experience.Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. ISO 13485 preferred.Robotic technology. (Denso and Fanuc preferred)Experience managing vendors/suppliers/subcontractors.Enterprise Resource Planning system experience. (SAP, Oracle, etc.)Milling, lathe work and/or welding capabilities. Tool design and build.
