The HIMS Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Coordinator is focused on the frontline support and improvement of the MES system(s) to ensure reliable performance and implementation of new capabilities.  They have two main areas of responsibility.  First, supporting the user with training, troubleshooting, workflows, reports and system maintenance and updates.  Second, they collaborate with IT and vendors and coordinate project assignments related to configuration, improvements, implementation, testing and support.  The HIMS MES Coordinator will also help manufacturing decision makers understand how current conditions on the plant floor can be optimized to improve production output.

Qualifications:

2-7 years of HIMS experience2-years technology degree or equivalent preferred but not required

Responsibilities:

Work and collaborate with users, engineering, and support teams to set up and maintain workflowsWork and collaborate with Production Data Analyst to investigate and resolve inventory discrepanciesTrain new and existing usersPartner with IT to ensure system configuration and uptimeImplement methodologies and processes for reporting performance metricsCollaborate with users, engineering, IT, and MES vendor on improving operational performanceGuide users in defining requirements for added features, problem resolution and proper application utilizationDevelop and implement process improvements by actively participating on cross functional teamsIdentify opportunities to optimize and integrate isolated systems and/or automate existing processes for efficiencyBe a part of short- and long-term projects to implement process improvements and efficienciesWork with MES vendor on updates, upgrades and new tool configurationPerform testing to ensure developmental needs meet functional requirementsFormulate and maintain MES procedures and documentationStay abreast of current information and developments concerning MESWilling / ability to shift schedule to accommodate needs and training on the off shifts

Capabilities Required for this Role (Knowledge Skills & Abilities)

The HIMS MES Coordinator should have quantitative, analytical, and process improvement skills; good organizational, project management, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; and basic IT related skillsetsComfortable with using computers and other IT technology, willingness to learn and train others on new IT systems3+ years of experience in volume manufacturing environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills
