Production Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization’s assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget. The work model for the role is: #LI-OnSiteThis role is contributing to the Electrication Area in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tIdentifying and recommending improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.•\tApproving the design for processes developed internally or externally and performing final tests with respect to the project.•\tProviding support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.•\tEvaluating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.

Qualifications for the role

\tBachelors Degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronic or similar engineering.\t8+ years of experience in similar positions.\tImplementation of Capex / Opex projects.\tExperience in WCM Roadmap.\tExperience and knowledge in MES.\tManaging the Capacity Model (Controlling the number of people required for the line).\tUse of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies.\tExperience performing Root Cause Analysis.\tExperience leading work teams.\tExperience in TOT / NPI.\tExperience working in metal / mechanical companies.\tExperience using SAP.\tAdvanced English.
