Manufacturing Maintenance Manager
**Job Title: Manufacturing Maintenance Manager** **Job Description** The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing operational equipment and facility support systems in the person and Centerbrook facilities are maintained in optimal condition. Production equipment includes high-speed automated tablet presses and packaging lines (packaging tablets or powders in plastic tubes, foil blister or stick packs), blending and mixing equipment. Direct and oversee the activities of maintenance personnel; train and develop staff to ensure they have the appropriate skillset to meet company needs. Direct reports include approximately 14 machine maintenance technicians (both mechanical and electrical) and Facilities Engineer. **Responsibilities** + Prioritize and coordinate maintenance and repair activities of existing equipment, including contracted services, research, and ordering of parts and equipment. + Work with Staff Engineer to improve uptime and operational efficiency goals of the facilities. + Assist Staff Engineer with the development of equipment operating and maintenance procedures, including a preventative maintenance schedule for plant equipment and implementation of a work order system. + Prioritize and coordinate building services and projects. + Secure required environmental permits and oversee compliance with environmental regulations. + Establish and maintain hazardous waste storage areas and procedures; oversee shipment of hazardous and/or regulated solid and liquid wastes. + Plan budgets and manage capital expenses in support of Continuous Improvement initiatives. + Ensure compliance with federal and state environmental regulations regarding wastewater discharges, hazardous waste storage and disposal, and hazardous material storage. + Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations (state and federal) including safety policy development, safety training, and maintaining the company Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) manual. **Essential Skills** + Minimum 5 years of experience in machine maintenance, especially electrical repairs and preventive maintenance. + Strong leadership skills. + Ability to read blueprints and schematics; proficiency in procedure writing. + High-speed manufacturing experience. + Knowledge of cGMP and clean room environments. + Bachelor’s Degree preferred; mechanical or related technical field. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Demonstrated leadership ability in a manufacturing environment. + Proven track record in successfully managing capital projects from concept to completion. + Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of environmental and safety regulatory compliance. + Excellent communication skills to foster teamwork with department heads and all plant personnel. **Why Work Here?** The company is a medium-sized business where the owners are very present and involved. The work environment includes clean rooms regulated by the FDA, with a strong smell of peppermint oil throughout the plant.
