The Sanmina Fremont facility is a full-service enclosure systems solution manufacturing plant.  Located in California’s Silicon Valley, this facility produces low-to-mid volume New Product Introduction (NPI) runs to full-scale volume.  The Fremont facility offers everything from small piece parts to fully integrated and tested systems.  In addition, this location offers in-house painting capabilities and flexible logistics solutions in distribution, inventory management and hubbing, as well as repair services Job Purpose: The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for executing preventative maintenance; identifying potential issues that could interrupt machine uptime, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of various equipment used within the manufacturing environment. Nature of Duties/Responsibilities : Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings. Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required. May perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers. Work closely with production to optimize run time and utilize downtime. Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment. Set up and install new equipment including integration with existing equipment. Education and Experience: High School or technical school Requires a minimum of 2 – 4 years of related experience in a production facility (prefer Precision machining and metal fabrication background).  Prior work experience with manufacturing equipment in the field of powder paint process systems), CNC mechanical systems, and general facility utilities such as compressors, chillers, and Amada NC punching machines, lasers, and press brakes. CNC controlled Haas and Mazak machine tools mills and lathes)   Must be able to work in a fast-paced production environment Basic computer skills are essential.
