Our client is on the hunt for a Production Excellence / Manufacturing Manager to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards in their manufacturing operations.  Situated East of London Ontario, this growing company is making waves in their niche market. 

Manufacturing Manager Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Production to implement continuous improvement strategies encompassing safety, quality, and operational efficiencies. Maintain a presence on the shop floor, overseeing incoming parts, organizing materials, and ensuring an orderly workspace. Identify and address any potential issues that may impact production schedules. Serve as a brand ambassador for the company demonstrating problem-solving skills and providing innovative solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and drive profitability. Take ownership of equipment procurement processes, researching, sourcing, and recommending purchases that support production requirements and business objectives. Conduct thorough reviews of inspection records, investigating discrepancies and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date. Lead capacity planning efforts to optimize equipment utilization, floor space allocation, and manpower allocation based on sales forecasts. Champion cost-saving initiatives while simultaneously improving quality and reducing delivery times, with a focus on enhancing machining efficiency and minimizing setup times. Collaborate with the Quality Supervisor to initiate and investigate non-conformance reports and corrective action requests, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and involved in resolution efforts. Provide effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring to direct reports, fostering a culture of continuous learning, adherence to company policies, and mutual respect among team members. Support CNC operators by providing technical assistance and guidance to help maintain production schedules. Drive the implementation of change management initiatives such as 5S, Lean methodologies, and manufacturing software enhancements. Establish and monitor KPIs aligned with departmental goals, regularly reporting metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation. The successful candidate has:  7+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. 3+ years of management experience. Demonstrated expertise in machining processes, lean manufacturing principles, and ISO quality systems. Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) required; additional certifications or diplomas in relevant trades or management disciplines preferred. Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve organizational objectives. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems. Compensation and benefits: The discussed salary range is $110,000 and $130,000 depending on experience.
