To manage and execute the optimum utilisation of the CCBSA manufacturing plant, raw materials and technical resources, in order to produce quality product at minimum cost which meet customer requirements while complying with legislation and achieving business needs.

Level of interaction within and outside of the company as well as the nature and purpose of the interaction

Manage relations with relevant municipal / provincial technical support departments to meet business requirements. Ensure effective alignment and shared performance with CCBSA Regional Logistics and Commercial teams. Interact with Material suppliers as required to ensure supply and product integrity. Interact with Equipment suppliers as required to ensure asset integrity. Manage delivery of 3rd party suppliers and service providers. Ensure effective relationships are maintained with Industrial Unions. Key Duties & Responsibilities

Operational Management

Develop the one to three years plant business plan to ensure that customer service and productivity objectives are met. Manage the systematic and strategic coordination of all Manufacturing business functions as aligned with the Sales and Operational Planning process (S&OP). Manage the implementation of world class manufacturing processes across Manufacturing for the purpose of ensuring the continuous improvement of short to long-term performance. Manage the synchronisation of all aspects of Manufacturing including flow of materials and final goods. Management and maintenance of the Manufacturing assets at a productive basic condition. Measurement and monitoring of performance trends and the application of focused improvement initiatives in order to increase total system efficiency, effectiveness and reliability. Identification, development, and the implementation of the relevant enablers in order to deliver the Plant business plan and budget. Develop and implement people capability enhancement plans to ensure that business improvement objectives are met. Ensure that supply chain planning is aligned to meeting customer needs.

People and Stakeholder Management

Manage the employee relations environment to proactively mitigate counterproductive industrial relations and optimise the relationship with the union. Manage primary engagement with local Labour Unions and all aspects relating to Industrial Relations in the region. Manage and ensure an engaged, productive and capable workforce aligned to deliver the strategic and operational business objectives. Lead and manage the development of a Health and Safety culture for all employees within the Supply Chain and Sales region. Develop and manage the relationship with relevant Local Government departments. Develop and manage the relationship with relevant Local Community and Interest forums departments. Skills, Experience & Education A minimum of an Engineering Degree or equivalent A Post Graduate degree in Business Administration or an equivalent degree would be advantageous A minimum of 10 - 12 years manufacturing experience.
