As Manufacturing Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end operations of the Kimball Specialty Valve manufacturing segments, including Pratt, Paint, Machining, Hydro Gate, Knife Gate, Singer, and Rubber Molding. The role demands excellence in operational performance, ensuring the safety of the workers while products are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and are produced cost-effectively. The Manufacturing Manager will lead initiatives in operational excellence, safety enhancement, and continuous process improvement, while managing a diverse team and upholding regulatory compliance. This leader must drive all coordination that is required to ensure Mueller Kimball’s success in manufacturing.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to facilitate company growth in specialty valve manufacturing.
· Align manufacturing strategies with corporate objectives and overall Plant objectives ensuring efficient operations and effective resource utilization. Oversee the translation of strategic plans into actionable and quantitative plans.
· Prepare capital and operational budgets, managing expenditures and justifying variances. Plan and/or oversee capital expenditure projects in support of manufacturing group.
· Allocate employees, assets, and resources optimally across various departments to enhance productivity and meet business goals.
· Ensure production targets are met within the stipulated timelines and budgets.
· Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with internal company standards and external regulatory standards.
· Drive training initiatives to ensure readiness of manufacturing workforce and cultivate talent to backfill roles temporarily or permanently.
· Implement quality control systems to minimize product discrepancies and ensure delivery of high-quality products. Drive initiatives to reduce discards and enhance annual productivity.
· Promote and enhance workplace safety culture and protocols to reduce the risk of injury and comply with occupational health and safety standards.
· Foster an environmentally responsible manufacturing process in alignment with sustainability goals.
· Manage and develop a team of direct and indirect reports through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
· Foster a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and collective accountability.
· Resolve disciplinary issues and manage human resource matters including staffing decisions and professional development.
· Lead efforts to improve operational efficiencies through technological innovation and process re-engineering.
· Facilitate high levels of employee involvement in problem-solving and process improvement teams.
· Build and maintain robust professional relationships with all stakeholders including peers, suppliers, customers, and cross functional company teams.
· Represent the manufacturing department in cross-functional meetings, ensuring alignment of operational strategies with broader corporate objectives.
· Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production efficiency, quality assurance, cost management, and inventory turnover.
· Regularly report on manufacturing performance to senior management, providing insights and action plans for improvement.
· Acts in the absence of the Plant Manager.
· Other duties as assigned.

· Experience with risk awareness and mitigation.
· At least basic financial acumen and understanding of basic accounting principles.
· Demonstrated past of developing and managing KPIs and metrics.
· Ability to drive continuous improvement and eliminate waste.
· Advanced Excel and Microsoft Suite skills.
Required Education/Experience:
· Minimum 15 years’ experience leading others in a manufacturing environment.
· Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
· Demonstrated experience leading large non-standard manufacturing teams to success through strategy with a wide degree of creative latitude.
