The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean manufacturing principles and experience in managing large teams in a fast-paced environment. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing operations, including production planning, quality control, and supply chain management. The Director of Manufacturing will also be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing processes are efficient, cost-effective, and scalable to support our continued growth.What you’ll be doing:Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that align with overall company goals and objectives.Establish and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand while maintaining efficient operations.Ensure that production processes are safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and improve product quality.Implement and manage a continuous improvement program to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and increase productivity.Lead and manage a large team of manufacturing professionals, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure that team members are equipped to perform at their best.Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and product development, to ensure that new products are designed for efficient manufacturing and meet quality standards.Develop and manage budgets for the manufacturing department and ensure that expenses are within approved limits.Identify and manage risks that may impact manufacturing operations and develop contingency plans as necessary.Create production and progress reports for leadership team.Ensure a healthy and safe working environment and compliance with federal and state regulations through collaboration with environmental health and safety team.What we are looking for (but are flexible):Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field10+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles, preferably in a high-volume production environment with a premium productStrong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and experience implementing them in a manufacturing environmentExcellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams of manufacturing professionals.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with supply chain management and vendor relationsKnowledge of regulatory requirements related to manufacturing, including OSHA and EPA regulations.
