Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a **Manufacturing Manager (Level K)** to join our dynamic **Space Launch Systems (SLS)** team in **Kennedy Space Center, Florida** . **Position Responsibilities:** + Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines. + Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies. + Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. + Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. + Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. + Manages, develops and motivates employees. **This position could be for various shifts (1st or 2nd).** **This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.** **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):** + High School diploma or GED. + Experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role. + Experience with team building, developing and motivating employees. + Willingness to work variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends or holidays. **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):** + Experience working on a NASA program. + Experience applying and implementing lean manufacturing principles in a production system. + Experience working on a developmental program. + Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems common image (MESci) or a similar application system. **Travel:** Position may require travel up to 25% of the time. **Drug Free Workplace:** Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies. **Total Rewards & Pay Transparency:** At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
